Privacy Policy

StudyNursyn ("NURSYN," "we," "us") runs studynursyn.com and the NURSYN app you can add to your home screen. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
The short version
- We collect only what we need to run your account and your plan.
- Your game scores, streaks, and progress stay in your own browser on your device.
- We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not sell your information.
- You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, your first name, and whether you checked the box to get emails from us. Your password is handled by our membership provider, Memberstack. We never see it.
- Sign in with Google or Apple: if you choose one of these, that company shares your email address (and sometimes your name) with Memberstack so you can log in.
- Plan and billing: which plan you are on, its status, and your trial and renewal dates. Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Educator applications: if you apply for an Educator account, we keep your school name, your role, and any faculty link you give us so we can verify you.
- Messages you send us: if you email us or send a request from the site (like a plan change request), we keep that message so we can help you.
What stays on your device
Game progress, high scores, daily challenge streaks, your Curriculum Pathway progress, and settings like sound and music are saved in your browser's local storage. This information stays on your device. It is not sent to us, and it does not follow you to another phone or computer. If you clear your browser data or delete the app from your home screen, this progress is erased.
Memberstack also stores a small login token in your browser so you stay signed in.
Live classroom games
Some games let an instructor host a live room that students join with a code (for example, Pharm Team and Med Pass Race). These games connect the devices in the room directly to each other, using the free PeerJS connection service to help them find each other. The name you type to join is shown to others in that room. We do not store it.
How we use your information
- To create your account, let you log in, and unlock the games on your plan.
- To send account emails, like password resets, receipts, and trial reminders.
- To send news, new games, and study tips, only if you opted in. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- To answer your questions and support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Analytics and cookies
NURSYN does not use analytics tools, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels. The only cookies and browser storage we use are the ones needed for logging in and for saving your progress on your device.
Services that help us run NURSYN
- Memberstack runs accounts, logins, and plans.
- Stripe processes payments and runs the billing page where you manage your plan.
- Netlify hosts the website. Like any web host, it may keep basic server logs, such as IP addresses and browser type.
- Google Fonts and cdnjs (Cloudflare) deliver fonts and code libraries some pages need. Your browser contacts them directly, so they can see your IP address.
- PeerJS helps devices connect in live classroom games.
- An email service sends our newsletters, only if you opted in.
Each one only gets what it needs to do its job.
Deleting your data
You can ask us to delete your account and the information tied to it at any time.
- Email support@studynursyn.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my data."
- If you have a paid plan, we will cancel it so you are not charged again.
- We will delete your account from Memberstack and confirm by email within 30 days.
Stripe may keep payment records it is required by law to keep. To erase progress saved on your device, clear this site's data in your browser settings, or delete the NURSYN app from your home screen.
You can also ask us to see or correct your account information the same way.
Your other choices
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link in any email.
- Cancel your plan any time from My account, then Manage billing.
Children
NURSYN is made for nursing students, nurses, and nursing educators. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has made an account, email us and we will delete it.
Security
The site uses HTTPS, and passwords and payments are handled by Memberstack and Stripe rather than stored by us. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password you do not use anywhere else.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top and tell members about big changes by email.
