What it is

Wound Care Cart is an untimed skills lab with 24 simulated wound cases. Each case shows the wound: location, how much it drains, what the wound bed looks like, and whether it is infected.

Pick the right dressing from a cart of 8 types, call the debridement method, troubleshoot a negative pressure wound vac, and choose the nutrition that heals. Every answer explains the why, plus the tempting wrong answer and why it fails.

What you'll learn

  • When to use alginate, antimicrobial, foam, gauze, hydrocolloid, hydrogel, nonadherent, and transparent film dressings
  • Why hydrocolloids are avoided on infected wounds
  • The 6 types of debridement and when each one fits
  • Safe wound irrigation pressure
  • How to fix an NPWT leak and when bleeding is an emergency
  • Why cultures come before the first antibiotic
  • Protein, carbohydrates, and vitamins for wound healing

How it helps you

NCLEX tests clinical judgment, using NCSBN's Clinical Judgment Measurement Model. Every NURSYN game is built on the nursing process. Wound Care Cart works these ADPIE steps: Assessment, Implementation.

  • Dressing questions come down to three cues: infection, drainage, and a dry or dead wound bed. The game trains you to read those cues first.
  • Seeing the tempting wrong answer explained is how you stop falling for it on exams.

How to play

  1. Pick a station: The Dressing Cart, Debridement Station, Healing Boosters, or the full shift.
  2. Read the wound card and the story.
  3. Tap your choice from the cart.
