What it is

Priority Care puts you on a night shift with 4 patients. Keep them safe and keep an eye on two meters: Safety and Patient happiness. If safety hits zero, the shift ends.

Tap a room and choose I'll do it, and your nurse walks there and does the task. Start with head-to-toe assessments, then handle what comes: crashing patients with a red countdown and an NCLEX-style question on what to do first, fall-risk patients climbing out of bed, Dr. Patel wanting an SBAR report, upset families, phone orders, critical lab values, pharmacy changes, security alerts, and the unit clerk needing a decision.

Delegate routine care to your tech (vitals on stable patients, linens, repositioning, I&O), but assessments, IV meds, teaching, family updates, and unstable patients are RN only. Choose Calm night, Busy shift, or Full moon. Hard questions are often select all that apply.

What you'll learn

  • Who to see first when several patients need you
  • What you can delegate to a tech and what is RN only
  • Fall prevention and quick response
  • Communicating with providers using SBAR
  • Handling families, security, and critical lab calls safely

How it helps you

NCLEX tests clinical judgment, using NCSBN's Clinical Judgment Measurement Model. Every NURSYN game is built on the nursing process. Priority Care works these ADPIE steps: Diagnosis, Planning, Implementation.

A · AssessmentD · DiagnosisP · PlanningI · ImplementationE · Evaluation
  • Covers Diagnosis, Planning, and Implementation: decide who is most at risk, plan your route, act
  • Prioritization and delegation are tested on every NCLEX
  • Delegation choices follow the five rights of delegation
  • Simulated chaos builds the calm you need on a real night shift
